Harm and Mac just came onto the flight deck they were getting ready to go back to the states, when a Seahawk landed, Admiral Chegwidden, and Clayton Webb came out of the Seahawk.

“What are they doing over here?” asked Mac “I don’t know, it has to be something important cause Webb is here.” Said Harm. AJ and Webb came up to them, Mac and Harm where about to go to attention when the Admiral stop them. “At ease, we have a major problem here so you guys won’t be going home so early then,” said AJ “Why sir?” asked Mac “Mr. Webb will explain it once we get up to the bridge, dismissed” said AJ as he pulled open the door to go inside the ship.

They followed behind the Admiral to the bridge as everyone their went to attention except for Webb. “As you where” said the Admiral “Sir, what are you doing here?” asked Captain Ingles.

“We got a problem, Captain and Mr. Webb here can explain it here or in private,” said AJ.

“Here will be fine sir” he replied “Webb, make it short” said the Admiral “Well, we got reports from the Watertown telling us that there are two dirty warheads in the air, one of our Vikings spotted it, and says it was headed for the Patrick Henry group.” Said Webb “Great!” said Ingles.

Looking at the CAG, “CAG do we have any people aboard that know how to intercept 2 dirty nukes?” asked Ingles “Yeah, all F-14 pilots” said Pike “Who are they?” asked Ingles.

“Lt. Carson, Lt. Cmdr Anderson, and Cmdr Rabb” said Pike “Okay, so all we do is just make sure everyone is on alert, while Rabb and the others go after the two dirty nukes.” Said AJ.

“Right” said Ingles as he was grabbing a COM “General Counters, General Counters, this is not a drill everyone to your stations” Rabb, The Admiral, and Pike headed down to the ready room.

They entered the room as all of the pilots from the Raptor Squadron went to attention.

“Lt. Carson, Lt. Cmdr. Anderson, Lt. Hawkes and your RIOS stay here, the rest of you can go do whatever” said Pike as they came forward. “Here is why, I called you all here. There are 2 dirty nukes coming towards this ship and three of you have done this before.” Said Pike “Yeah” said Lt. Carson. “So what do you want us to do, sir?” asked Anderson “Well, Ice I don’t know.” Said Pike as Admiral Chegwidden spoke up “Either, blow that thing up with missiles or try to do something” said AJ “Thanks, sir. That will work.” Said Pike. “Lets go fly Harm your flight leader” said Pike. “Aye Aye sir” said Harm.

Harm, Skates, Ice, Slider (Ice’s RIO), Chaser (Carson), and Duke (RIO) walked to their planes.

“This is going to be fun, ” said Skates “Right” said Harm “Amy you know how to do this right?” asked Slider “Yes, I do I did this before “ said Ice as all of them went into their cockpits.

Harm was first to launch, then Ice, and then Chaser. They gather up when they got into the air.

“I spot them, Harm about 20 seconds near us.” said Skates “Good” said Harm as they put on there oxygen masks. “We have permission to fire, right, Harm?” asked Ice “Yah, Ice” said Harm.

“Chaser, I want you to get ready if the nuke comes your way, Ice you go after Nuke 2, and I will try to catch up with Nuke 1., ” said Harm as they all went different ways Ice caught up with Nuke 2 and was going to shot at it when she had and idea. “Slider, this will just be a quick one,” she said as she pulled in front of the Nuke heading for the Patrick Henry but it followed her all the way until she got close to the ocean and it disappeared. “Harm, this is Ice, Nuke 2 is gone.” She said “Copy that, Ice” as he was right in line with the nuke, “Lets try this” said Harm as he got to the side of it and was going at mach speed he cut in front of it as it followed them “I wander if this thing will follow me if I do a barrow roll” said Harm “Hey why don’t we try it” said Skates “Fine with me” said Harm as they did a barrow roll it followed them still.

Meanwhile

“I hope they don’t do something dumb” said Ingles.

“I do too, Captain” said AJ.

Back to the no fly zone.

“This nuke, is not giving up,” said Skates “No duh, this time we are going to fly near the water” said Harm as he did full throttled towards the ocean and the Nuke disappeared. “Way to go Harm” said Ice “Yah.” Said Harm as they landed back on the carrier.

“A Top Gun moment” said Ice as she claimed out of her plane she grabbed her camera from her pocket of her flight gear. “How about a picture? Even though we saved this ship.” Said Ice.

“Yah, why not” said Harm as Captain Ingles, Pike, AJ, Mac, Webb join them to take a picture.
